Candace (Candy) Willett, MSN, MPH, RN, PPCNP-BC

Is a board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PPCNP-BC) with approximately 8 years of specialty training in Infectious Disease, treating Lyme borreliosis (Lyme Disease) and tick-borne illness in our most vulnerable population, children and young adults. She recently joined Capital Integrative Health (CIH) to pursue Functional Medicine and offer her Lyme expertise assessing and treating children and young adults up to age 25 with this debilitating disease. In addition to Infectious Disease, she also completed 2 years of specialty training in Dermatology collaborating with her mentor, Dr. Candace W. King in Pinehurst, NC, formerly the Pinehurst Skin Center.

She attended Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts for her undergraduate studies majoring in Psychology and Religion. Then went on to earn a Master of Public Health (MPH) specializing in Maternal & Child Health at the School of Public Health and Health Services at The George Washington University in Washington, DC. She later returned to school to earn a second Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Yale School of Nursing in New Haven, Connecticut – Go Bulldogs!

Candace has a passion for health promotion and health education. Some of her specialty areas of interest include complex histamine issues, mast cell activation syndrome (MCAS), dermatologic manifestations, and long COVID. She respects and values the patient-provider relationship and is honored to care for children and families. She is committed to ensuring quality of care and fostering collaboration between all members of the healthcare team.
