7 Tips to Reduce Your EMF Exposure

EMF (electromagnetic frequency) exposure is largely unavoidable. We are surrounded by EMF emitting items such as cell phones, WIFI routers, microwaves, computers, and wireless headphones. Anything internet or Bluetooth related emits an EMF.
⠀⠀
Unfortunately, we are still largely unsure of what the effects of EMF exposure are in the longterm. In the short term, EMF overload has been associated with symptoms of insomnia, anxiety, headaches, fatigue, and difficulty concentrating.
⠀⠀
Given that EMF is so pervasive, taking some precautionary steps is a great way to limit your exposure. Here are 7 examples:

TURN OFF YOUR WIFI ROUTER AT NIGHT

Given that we sleep for 1/3 of the day, turning off your wifi router at night will limit your exposure greatly. Plus, it should help you sleep by limiting your technology use during that time.

PUT YOUR PHONE IN AIRPLANE MODE

When not in use, turn on airplane mode! If you can, the most ideal time is while you are sleeping. Think also of the times in the day when you don't need to use your phone.

USE WIRES INSTEAD OF WIRELESS

While wireless headphones are convenient, using wire headphones when you can limits EMF exposure.

USE SPEAKERPHONE

Simply talking over speakerphone and avoiding holding your phone directly to your head for extended periods of time will limit your exposure.

PUT A BARRIER BETWEEN YOU AND YOUR LAPTOP

If you regularly sit with your laptop on your lap, put a barrier like a pillow in between you and the laptop. Consider a laptop tray that block EMF such as this one.

EAT A COLORFUL DIET

Colorful vegetables and fruits have antioxidants that help your body to better handle EMF exposure. Yet another reason to fill your plate up with colors!

GET OUTSIDE

Also known as earthing, spending time outside is another way to limit your exposure and help your body to be more resilient to EMF. Especially helpful if you can do this standing barefoot on the earth.
