Maiyeshia McFadden, PA-C

I have always had a desire to help others and make a difference in their lives. I knew early on that I wanted to be in healthcare and becoming a Physician Assistant was at the top of my list.

Throughout my career, I witnessed the best and worst of the healthcare system. Every patient is different and therefore they deserve to be treated as individuals. It is not a one-size-fits-all for treatments. I have spent most of my career in a hospital setting and saw patients who were chronically and critically ill.  Patients did not receive adequate time or knowledge needed to improve their health. I feel that education about health and lifestyle plays an important role in preventing patients from getting to that critical point of hospitalization.

This position at Capital Integrative Health is bringing me back to what I love about being a PA, which is the connection with the patient and promoting prevention and wellness to address all health conditions and chronic diseases.

When I am not working, I enjoy reading, spending time with friends and family, and traveling. I have been a part of the wine industry as well and recently started my wine brand.

I am excited to be part of the CIH family and dig deeper to find the root cause of the illness.
