How to use our Patient Portal

Your patient portal, Charm, lets you manage and track your healing journey. Take a second to click that link and add it to your bookmarks.

Before we get into how to use the portal, two important notes:

  1. You don't need to worry about "checking" your portal regularly. Anytime a visit summary, lab result or message is received, you'll get an email reminder to check your portal.

  2. You can always pick up the phone and call us! The portal is there for your convenience, when needed. We actually love hearing for you - so if you'd rather ask a question or make an appointment on the phone, call us anytime during business hours.

That being said, there's a ton you can do in your portal (keep track of medications/supplements, upload documents to share with us, and more!)

The tutorials on this page show you how to do five important things in your portal:

  1. Request appointments

  2. Read visit summaries

  3. Check lab results/images

  4. Upload and share documents with your provider

  5. Send messages through the portal

Let’s jump in…

1. How to request an appointment

2. How to see your visit summaries

Ever go to the doctor and feel like you forgot half of what you heard the next day?

We've got you covered.

Each time you see one of our practitioners, they will create a "Visit Summary" detailing all the important action steps you discussed in your appointment.

3. How to check your lab results/images

4. How to upload and share documents with your provider

5. How to send a message in the portal

Important note: We kindly ask that you be mindful of using the portal to ask questions of practitioners.

New research links patient portals (like this one) to physician burnout due to the number of hours spent answering patient questions between appointments.

Portal messages are ideal for quick, clarifying questions that can be answered with a simple “yes” or “no.”

If new issues arise, or you have a question that requires a more nuanced explanation, we ask that you schedule a follow-up appointment with your practitioner.

We don’t want to shut down the direct lines of communication between patients and practitioners, but we also want to keep our practitioners healthy and well, so they can be at their best while keeping you healthy and well!
