All functional nutrition visits, IV nutrition therapy, and wellness services are now out-of-network and payment is expected at the time of service.

All functional medicine visits are moving to an out-of-network model. In this transition, certain medical providers are continuing to take insurance on a time-limited basis (see “Medical Insurance” below for details). We can provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement. We are also working on a payment plan solution that will help you get the care you need now, while paying

The current status of accepted insurance is as follows:

Aetna, CareFirst (BCBS), Cigna, any unlisted insurances - out-of-network for all providers

Medicare, United Healthcare- out-of-network for all providers effective 1/1/25 (for Medicare) and 5/1/25 (for United). Note that if you have United Medicare Advantage, that is classified as a United Healthcare plan. Until then, patients with these insurances can be seen by the following providers: Dr. Andrew Wong (MD), Elizabeth (EJ) Schaefer (PA-C), Jenessa Mayer (PA-C), and Kathleen (Katie) Ritchie (PA-C)
