We have a mask optional policy for our medical clinic.

  • Patients and staff can choose to wear a mask if they would like. We will ask on our triage sheet if you prefer that your provider wears a mask during your visit.

All staff in the office have received proper PPE training and are fully prepared to provide you treatment in a safe environment.

COVID-19 Vaccine Information

CIH will not be distributing COVID-19 vaccines on-site. The logistics of vaccine storage and administration preclude CIH from distributing the vaccine on-site.

Information on getting the vaccine:

  • Vaccination with the COVID-19 vaccine is an individual decision and can be made with the guidance of your healthcare practitioner.

  • National, state, and local governments are determining the order of vaccination, depending on occupation and demographics related to risk of contracting COVID-19. As more information is obtained, we will direct patients who wish to be vaccinated to appropriate sites.

Dr. Wong has put together a supplement protocol for:

  • Support before and after vaccination (the week around the vaccine)

  • Support if you have contracted the virus and want to reduce the “cytokine storm” (inflammation) associated with the virus

Reminder: as always, please discuss with your health-care practitioners before taking any supplements.

    Telehealth

    Our medical and nutrition team are seeing patients through Telehealth visits (billed to insurance).

    For current patients: Telehealth visits are available for Maryland, DC, and Virginia residents.

      What to do if you have symptoms

      Common symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, cough, and shortness of breath.

      If you are experiencing mild symptoms, please schedule a Telehealth appointment with your medical provider if you would like to be consulted.

      If you are experiencing severe symptoms, such as trouble breathing or persistent pain or pressure in the chest, call 911 or go to the Emergency Room.

      Drive thru testing option:

      Suburban Hospital in Bethesda is offering drive thru testing that requires a lab order and an appointment time.

      If you are interested, please make a Telehealth appointment with your medical provider at CIH who can order a test if appropriate.

      Additional Tips For Staying Healthy

      Maintain healthy hygiene practices:

      • Wash your hands with soap for at least 20 seconds and avoid touching your face.

      • Maintain social distancing practices when applicable.

      • Wear a mask if you or someone around you has symptoms.

      Remember the basics supporting your immune system:

      • Sleep: make it a priority to get 8 hours of sleep nightly; sleep is essential for immune function and a lack of sleep can result in a lowered ability to fight off infections.

      • Stress: stress also inhibits the immune system. Use meditation, breath work or other stress-relieving practices as needed and be mindful of your exposure to stress-inducing sources such as news and social media.

      • Food: increase foods including non-starchy veggies, fruit, fish, whole grains, and sprouts. Avoid sugar and processed foods which increase inflammation and down-regulate the immune system.

      • Hydration: aim to drink 1/2 of your body weight in ounces daily (up to 100 oz.). Water is a fundamental part of the immune system and is required to transport and eliminate toxins out of the body.

      • Move daily: 30 minutes of any type of movement daily to keep the lymph moving which supports immune function.
